Who is responsible for your information
PinSpanish is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].
Information we process
Information you provide
If you contact PinSpanish by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, message, and any attachments.
Website and device information
The website and its service providers may process technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring page, visited pages, interaction events, performance data, and error information. Server logs may also be created for security, diagnostics, and reliable delivery of the website.
Saved vocabulary
Words you save while reading are stored locally in your browser on your device. PinSpanish does not receive this vocabulary list. It remains until you remove it, clear the site’s stored data, or your browser removes it.
Why we use information
- to provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website;
- to understand how visitors use PinSpanish and improve its learning experience;
- to respond to messages and requests;
- to prevent misuse and protect the website; and
- to comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Depending on your location, processing may rely on your consent, PinSpanish’s legitimate interests in operating and improving the site, steps taken at your request, or compliance with a legal obligation. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it for future processing.
Services that receive information
Microsoft Clarity
In production, PinSpanish uses Microsoft Clarity to understand website interactions through metrics, heatmaps, and session playback. Clarity may process interaction, diagnostic, device, and page information and may use cookies or similar technologies. Sensitive form content is designed to be masked by Clarity. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Google Fonts
The site requests font files from Google to display its typography. When this happens, Google receives technical request data such as your IP address and browser information. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Hosting and infrastructure
Hosting, delivery, and security providers may process limited technical information on our behalf to make the website available and protect it. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a legitimate reorganization of the website.
International processing and retention
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used for international transfers. Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, security, and record-keeping needs. Provider-controlled analytics data is retained according to the provider’s settings and retention periods.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children’s privacy
PinSpanish does not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact us so the situation can be reviewed and appropriate action taken. Children should use the website with the involvement of a parent or guardian where required by local law.
Security and policy updates
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, providers, or legal requirements. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date.
