What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They can help a website remember a browser, connect page views, measure usage, or retain preferences. Similar browser technologies can store information without using cookies.
How PinSpanish uses cookies
PinSpanish does not currently use cookies for accounts, shopping, or advertising. In the production website, Microsoft Clarity may use analytics cookies to help us understand how people navigate and interact with the learning experience. These cookies are not necessary for the core reading content to work.
Microsoft Clarity cookies
Depending on your location, consent choices, and browser settings, Clarity may use:
- _clck to retain a pseudonymous Clarity user identifier and preferences for this site;
- _clsk to connect page views into a single Clarity session;
- CLID to recognize when a browser was first seen by Clarity;
- ANONCHK to indicate whether an identifier is transferred for advertising-related processing;
- MR and MUID to identify or refresh a browser identifier used by Microsoft services; and
- SM to synchronize a browser identifier across Microsoft domains.
Clarity uses pseudonymous identifiers and interaction data to provide aggregated analytics, heatmaps, and session playback. Cookie availability and duration may vary according to Microsoft’s configuration and your consent or browser choices. See Microsoft’s Clarity cookie documentation for current details.
Local storage for saved words
The vocabulary feature uses storage in your own browser to keep words you mark while reading. This is not an analytics cookie, and the saved list is not sent to PinSpanish. Removing the website’s stored data in your browser will also remove your saved vocabulary.
Managing cookies and stored data
Most browsers let you inspect, block, or delete cookies and site data through their privacy or security settings. Blocking Clarity cookies should not prevent access to PinSpanish’s core educational content, although analytics features may not operate as intended. Browser controls vary, so consult your browser’s help documentation for exact steps.
Changes and contact
This policy may change if PinSpanish adds, removes, or reconfigures browser technologies. The latest effective date appears above. Questions about cookies or privacy may be sent to [email protected].
